Henri Courpron

Henri’s background combines more than three decades in civil aircraft manufacturing, global procurement, aircraft leasing, airline governance, and advisory work providing an unusually broad perspective across the aviation and aerospace value chain.

His international leadership experience spans billions of dollars’ worth of aircraft and engine transactions, corporate strategy and major industry M&A. He currently serves as Chairman of Plane View Partners which he co-founded in 2014.

Mr. Courpron served as Chief Executive Officer of International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) from May 2010 until ILFC’s sale to AerCap in May 2014, a transaction valued at more than $7 billion. During that period, he led strategic initiatives intended to strengthen ILFC’s financial position, governance, operating capabilities and global footprint.

Mr. Courpron also spent 20 years with Airbus, ultimately becoming Executive Vice President, Procurement at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France. In that role, he was responsible for procurement activity and supplier relationships across Airbus; his organization comprised roughly 2,000 people and managed an annual spending budget of approximately $18 billion. His Airbus leadership experience also included serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Airbus North America.

Finally, over the past 15 years, Mr. Courpron has contributed board-level experience across established airlines and emerging aviation companies. His directorships have included Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras in Brazil, TAP Portugal, Breeze Airways in the United States, and German eVTOL start-up Lilium.
